Welcome to Waxy Apples Vintage, where eclectic fashion meets inclusivity and sustainability. Our store is your one-stop destination for everything from shoes to lip gloss, carefully curated with love and a commitment to ensuring everyone feels good in our space. At the heart of what we do is our motto, "Curated Vintage by Nice People", because we believe that even the best business plans, stock, and social media presence don’t mean much if people don’t feel welcome.
We are proud to be a dog-friendly, environmentally conscious and LGBTQIA+ inclusive business, welcoming everyone to express themselves through fashion, regardless of size or age. At WAV, nothing is too serious, every day is a chance to play dress-up and embrace your unique style in a space that feels like home. Come visit us and explore the vibrant world of vintage that’s both kind to the planet and full of personality!

Loosh
Hey, I’m Loosh! founder & Co-Owner of Waxy Apples Vintage, established online & at local markets in 2020. Born in Vancouver and raised in coastal Queensland with a big, lively household, I fell in love with travel, creativity, fashion & people while backpacking at 18. After a brief (and very not-me) corporate stint, I found my way back to what I love eclectic fashion styling, creative direction, running events, and building a community through my store. I thrive both in front of & behind the camera, and when I’m not working, you’ll find me bartending reading, writing, playing my uke at local venues.

Oscar
Heya, I'm Oscar. The second half of waxy... I grew up in Sydney & moved to Melbourne for work in 2021. I've been the unpaid intern/market boyfriend at WAV for the past 3 years & joined the business in early August to assist with the upgrade. Now you'll find me in store now pretty frequently and at photoshoots where I model and/or bring the snacks. I work selling gold & silver during the week & love going to the gym, cooking, reading & travelling. (Still an unpaid intern)

Ella
Hi I'm Ella, I grew up in Caulfield & was a customer of the store while in highschool & started working here after graduating. my hobbies include: fashion, art, and music.
I love helping people feel beautiful in their clothes. There’s something so special about finding a piece that just clicks—whether it’s the perfect fit, a bold print, or just something that makes you feel more you.
On weekends you'll find me travelling or partying with my friends!

Chiara
Hi, I’m Chiara. I’m originally from New Zealand and moved to Melbourne at the start of the year to study fashion styling at RMIT. I’ve always loved fashion and the way it allows people to express themselves, and I’m really enjoying learning more about the industry. Alongside my studies I also love modelling and being part of creative projects that bring ideas to life.

Maria
Hiya, I'm Maria. I'm WAV's first & most iconic employee... (don't tell the others) I joined Waxy Apples Vintage not long after it opened in October 2024. I’ve always loved secondhand fashion, and when I’m not at WAV, you’ll find me over at Nostalgia Neighbourhood, where I also work.
I grew up in Sydney but now call Melbourne’s coast home. If I’m not at the shop, chances are I’m out surfing or hunting for treasures at local markets.

Nick
Hey my name is Nick and I’m a very creative and passionate person. I love making art in all different forms as well as baking. One of my favourite things to do in my spare time is going to the gym. My main belief is that everyone has the right to feel safe in public.
I love working at waxy apples due to all of the creativity and whimsy that the store brings and I feel very privileged to be one of the youngest employees here! Waxy Apples is one of my favourite spots to visit because you never know what people you’re going to meet and what new item you’ll get.
